A pair of candelabra “Night & Day” attributed to Pierre Philippe Thomire, Paris early 19th century

A pair of exceptional and very rare five-light candelabra attributed to master Pierre Phillipe Thomire in Paris, manufactured in the early 19th century.
The pair of candelabras, “Night & Day” are made in patinated and ormolu bronze in an outstanding quality after a design by C. Percier and P.F.L.Fontaine in the Recueil de Decorations Interieures from 1801. This model was commissioned for Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte’s decoration of the Elysée Palace in the early 19th century.
