Gilt lead, carved giltwood, mirror glass, and brass candle arms.

The pattern for this model of mirror-sconces is to be found in the Nouveau Livre d’Ornements, a series of copper-plate engravings issued in parts between 1701 and 1703 by the architect Daniel Marot.

It is most probable that Christian Precht brought these very plates with him out of England, and that, being once more settled in Stockholm, he set about the making of mirrors after their pattern.

This model is to be found in several variant forms, examples whereof are preserved in the collections of Drottningholm Palace, in Stockholm, and of the J. Paul Getty Museum.
