A very rare and Important pair of candelabra for sex lights in ormolu, patinated bronze and marble.
Each candelabra centred by a patinated bronze figure, representing Venus adorned in a Neoclassical garb, supporting aloft five acanthus decorated candlearms with a baluster shaped center candelholder. All on a square white marble base adorned with Fama and Cupid.
The center figures are identical with another pair signed by Righetti dated 1790. The are also repeated on candelabrum executed circa 1801-1802 for San Giorgio Maggiore in Venice illustrated in Il Tempio die Principe, Vol. II,p, 262.
