Pehr Ljung, whose real name was Sven Petter, started his education with his father Johan, who was an ornament sculptor. He continued to draw at the Academy under the direction of the great masters of the time Jean Eric Rehn, Lorentz Pasch and Carl Fredric Adelcrantz. Pehr Ljung became one of the most prominent ornamental sculptors of his time in Stockholm and was hired by Gustav III for more advanced sculptures. His works are represented in, among others Stockholm Palace, the Haga pavilion and in other royal interiors.
