Works by Guérin is in a sophisticated empire style inspired by the French masters in Paris. His workshop came in time to become one of the largest in St: Petersburg. Alexandre Guérin worked as a bronzier from 1810 to circa 1840 when he came into financial difficulties and had to sell his workshop to Julien Chopin.
