The Lindroth family’s workshop was frequently hired by the Swedish court and several high-class works commissioned by Karl IV Johan originated from the workshop. The workshop flourished in the 1820s and when Reinhold Fredric also often worked in St. Petersburg with orders from the Russian court. Several of his works are closely related to the famous Andrei Schrieber who was based in St. Petersburg. Father Lindroth is considered to be the most skilled bronzier in Stockholm during this time. He is represented, among other things, with a magnificent chandelier at Stockholm Castle. The family contributed for a long period with works of various kinds to Rosendal Castle with several bronze chandeliers and the decoration of mosaic tables.
Works from Lindroth’s workshop are unusual but still appear on the market from time to time.
