Werner & Mieth

The German company Werner & Mieth was a partnership between Christian Gottlob Werner and Gottfried Mieth and were founded in 1794. The two partners travled to France, Holland and England to further educate them selfs and improve their technique of manufacture. The company became one of the greatest foundries during the Neoclassical era with very artistic production of chandeliers, furnitures and table decorations and the company employed 29 people in 1797. There objects were acquired not only by German noble houses but all over Europe and as far as Constantinople.
